Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on an ENT and Plastic Surgery unit, caring for patients with cuffed/cuffless tracheostomies, total laryngectomies, carotid blowout precautions, and free flap monitoring
• Perform and manage tracheostomy and total laryngectomy care, drain care, tube feeding, and wound care
• Monitor post-operative flaps and manage central lines, IV access, and phlebotomy
• Maintain telemetry monitoring as a required component of patient care
• Float within service line to meet facility needs as required
• Document all patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in Missouri or a qualifying compact state (pending Missouri license accepted at time of submittal)
• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical experience; candidates with 1+ year of experience at a Level I or Teaching Facility will be considered
• ACLS certification required by compliance hard document deadline
• BCLS certification required
• Telemetry experience required
• Must live more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
• No more than 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract; all RTO must be finalized at time of submission

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in an ENT or Plastic Surgery inpatient setting
• Experience with free flap monitoring and carotid blowout precaution protocols
• Familiarity with EPIC charting system
• Experience as a travel nurse, including first-time travelers welcome
