Contract | Full-Time | Days, 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide intermediate-level nursing care for a diverse patient population including stroke, heart failure, respiratory failure, renal failure, post-surgical patients, and those requiring higher-level monitoring
• Perform cardiac monitoring, interpret and manage dysrhythmias, and manage cardiac drips and heparin protocols (no titration)
• Manage IV therapy including central line care, PICC line management, blood product administration, and peripheral line care
• Provide neurological and respiratory care including CVA management, high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC), ABG interpretation, and non-invasive airway management
• Fulfill holiday shift and Charge RN assignments as needed; expected 8 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period (combination of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)
• Float between departments, units, and facilities as needed — valid licensure in both Kansas and Missouri (or a compact license) is required at time of submission

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in both Kansas and Missouri, or a compact RN license valid in both states, required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• LTAC experience required
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, feeding tube care, pre/post hemodialysis management, wound care/wound vac, and isolation precautions
• Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification preferred
• Experience in ER holding, neuro stepdown, or PCU/DOU/IMC/stepdown settings
• Skills in vasoactive drip management (no titration), PCA, port access, chest tube management, external CPAP/BiPAP, and tracheostomy management
• Experience with traumatic brain injury, ortho trauma, and total joint replacements
