Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Days, Rotating Weekends & Call | Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Provide post-anesthesia care to a diverse patient population ranging from pediatric to adult across all surgical case types, including lumpectomies, tonsillectomies, tube placements, and open heart surgery, as well as trauma cases
- Maintain patient ratios in accordance with CPAN Guidelines within a 10-bay PACU unit
- Participate in on-call rotation, including a 30-minute response requirement (dressed and ready to accept a patient in the PACU)
- Rotate to Endoscopy and Same Day Care units as needed
- Utilize GE patient monitors, Stryker and Hillrom beds, and the Expanse EMR system
- Participate in self-scheduling with coverage adjustments made by nurse leadership as needed
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New Hampshire — required at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a hospital setting
- PACU and PACU pediatric experience at a Level II facility or higher — candidates without this experience will not be considered
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ICU experience
- Emergency Room (ER) experience
- CPAN (Certified Post Anesthesia Nurse) certification
