Key Responsibilities

• Provide acute care nursing services to patients experiencing infections, complications from chronic diseases, and comorbidities across a variety of Medical Surgical units

• Care for patients recovering from general surgery, colorectal procedures, short-stay surgeries, and specialty procedures including gynecology oncology, urology, and procedural gastroenterology

• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions, adjusting care plans as appropriate based on patient acuity and phase of recovery

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to deliver safe, high-quality patient-centered care

• Participate in mentoring and precepting programs to support professional growth and unit teamwork

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or compact licensure eligibility

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, acute care Medical Surgical environment

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

• Commitment to patient safety, quality care, and professional standards

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a Medical Surgical, acute care, or specialty nursing unit

• Experience or interest in gynecology oncology, urology, gastroenterology, or surgical nursing

• Experience working with patients of varying acuity levels and diverse diagnoses
