Registered Nurse – Inpatient Oncology

Full-Time | Permanent | Nights | 12-Hour Shifts | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct inpatient nursing care to oncology patients in a 22-bed unit with a 5:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Utilize and monitor equipment including vital machines, bed alarms, bladder scanners, Bi-pap machines, suction, SCDs, and lifts
- Manage and monitor patients with central lines and perform AM blood draws
- Document patient care accurately using EMR (EPIC) and other computerized charting systems
- Monitor patients receiving 24-hour chemotherapy infusions as assigned (administration of chemotherapy and care of radiation patients is not required)
- Float to other units as needed, including medical and med/surg floors
Required Qualifications
- Active Indiana Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum of 2 years of oncology or med/surg nursing experience
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts, including weekends as required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Oncology nursing certification (OCN or equivalent)
- Experience with central line management and blood draws
- Familiarity with EPIC EMR system
