Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care across a variety of medical and surgical diagnoses, including COPD, CHF, diabetes, renal failure, neurological disorders, and infectious diseases

  • Deliver care within established nurse-to-patient ratios in an acute care setting, supporting patients at varying acuity levels

  • Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team to support patient outcomes and safety across assigned unit

  • Participate in professional development initiatives and unit-specific certification opportunities, such as NIH or SCRN certification where applicable

  • Provide care to patients across a range of surgical diagnoses including appendectomy, cholecystectomy, gynecological, and orthopedic cases, depending on unit placement

  • Maintain accurate verbal and written communication with care team members throughout each shift

Required Qualifications

  • Diploma in Nursing, Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN), or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

  • Active or pending Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of Indiana

  • Current CPR certification

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds independently and assist with up to 100 pounds

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work in a dynamic nursing environment serving patients at all stages of life

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Experience in a Medical Surgical or acute care nursing environment

  • Familiarity with stroke care protocols or interest in obtaining NIH or SCRN certification

  • Comfort working in a cross-trained, multi-population nursing unit
