Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Salary: $65,000–$75,000/year

About the role:
We are seeking a passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our Special Populations team. This role supports students across our network of campuses by providing direct and consultative speech-language services. You’ll play a vital part in evaluating students, developing IEPs, and delivering high-quality, compliant therapy that supports student success.


Qualifications
Required:
 
  •  
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
 
  •  
Florida Department of Education certification in Speech-Language Impairment AND/OR Florida Educator Certificate in Speech/Language Impaired K-12
 
  •  
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
 
  •  
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams


Preferred:
 
  •  
Experience working in school-based settings or with charter schools
 
  •  
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
 
  •  
Familiarity with Medicaid documentation processes
 
  •  
Bilingual in English/Spanish



Knowledge and Skills
  •  
Deep understanding of speech-language disorders and evidence-based interventions
 
  •  
Working knowledge of IDEA, FERPA, and IEP compliance
 
  •  
Strong documentation and data-tracking abilities
 
  •  
Commitment to inclusive practices and culturally responsive support
 
  •  
Familiarity with assistive technology and augmentative communication tools (preferred)



Responsibilities
  •  
Conduct comprehensive evaluations using standardized tools
 
  •  
Participate in referral, eligibility, and IEP processes
 
  •  
Develop and implement individualized therapy plans
 
  •  
Deliver services in individual or small group settings across assigned campuses
 
  •  
Collaborate with teachers, school leaders, and service providers to support students holistically
 
  •  
Monitor and document student progress and adjust therapy plans as needed
 
  •  
Maintain accurate and up-to-date compliance records
 
  •  
Provide families with communication strategies for use at home
 
  •  
Support Medicaid billing with accurate documentation (training provided if needed)
 
  •  
Stay current on best practices and licensure requirements
 
  •  
Travel across Florida as needed for student and team support
