Join Our Team at the Tewksbury Treatment Center
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at the Tewksbury Treatment Center, a 24-hour detoxification program dedicated to providing medical and emotional support to individuals recovering from alcohol and/or substance abuse.
About the Role:
- Provide 24-hour nursing care to patients undergoing withdrawal treatment, monitoring their symptoms, reactions to treatments, and safety status.
- Administer medications to patients as prescribed and collaborate with the team to provide health information and maintain accurate medical records.
- Respond to patient care needs and issues, assisting with activities of daily living to promote a positive therapeutic environment.
- Participate in treatment team meetings and contribute to the development of care plans.
- Assist with the admitting, discharge, and transfer process.
Key Responsibilities:
• Records and reports patient symptoms, reactions to treatments, and changes in safety status • Administers medications to patients as prescribed • Collaborates with the team to provide health information and maintain accurate medical records • Responds to patient care needs and issues, assisting with activities of daily living • Participates in treatment team meetings and contributes to care plan development • Assists with admitting, discharge, and transfer process
Qualifications:
• Valid and current Massachusetts licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) • Current certification in CPR • Experience with addiction treatment services preferred, but not required • Must be separated from Behavioral Health Unit (BILH) for 6 months before returning
