Job Title: Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in the Operating Room. As a Registered Nurse - Operating Room, you will utilize the nursing process to provide direct patient care to an assigned group of patients during a shift. You will ensure safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable care of patients, while coordinating patient care through collaboration with the patient/family and healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document individual patient needs, actions taken, and patient responses • Provide direct patient care, including administering medication and treatments as prescribed by physician or standard protocols • Coordinate patient care through collaboration with the patient/family and healthcare team • Identify and meet patient and family learning and discharge needs on admission and throughout the episode of care • Assume responsibility for the clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel • Complete patient population/age-specific/procedure and protocol education and competency testing per unit standards

Requirements:

• Minimum two (2) years’ current experience required in large OR • Must be able to scrub • Must be a team player, flexible, and accustomed to fast-paced environment • Must have successfully completed at least one 13-week travel assignment

Preferred Requirements:

• Epic experience preferred, but not required; can train on-site • Ortho, EENT, and/or vascular experience a plus

Education:

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required

Certifications & Licensure:

• State of [City, State] or Compact State Nursing License required • BLS required • BLS, ACLS, and PALS (if obtained) must be completed through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross
