Job Title: Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Centennial Medical Center. As a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to individuals with various medical conditions, including wounds, tracheostomies, ostomies, and more. Responsibilities:

• Perform basic patient assessments and provide general care • Maintain wound care, including dressing changes and wound vacs • Manage tracheostomies, ostomies, and drains • Administer medications, including Heparin, and PCA pumps • Participate in post-operative procedures, such as amputations, ostomy, drains, and chest tubes • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care • Conduct bedside shift reports and safety checks • Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, including HAI prevention and fall prevention

Requirements:

• Current RN licensure • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification • NIHSS certification • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to adapt to changing patient needs and priorities

Work Environment:

• 36-bed Medical Surgical unit • 1:4/1:5 patient ratios • Full-time travel RN position (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) • Opportunity to float over core staff and gain experience in a new unit
