We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our dynamic team of healthcare professionals. As a Therapist - Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping our clients achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough assessments of clients to identify their needs and develop personalized treatment plans • Implement occupational therapy interventions to enhance clients' functional abilities, mobility, and overall well-being • Collaborate with occupational therapists, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care • Develop, implement, and evaluate programs to promote clients' independence, participation, and engagement in daily activities • Provide education and support to clients and their families on occupational therapy techniques, strategies, and self-care practices • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including progress notes, treatment plans, and evaluation results
Requirements:
• Current OTA licensure in the state of Virginia (or eligibility for licensure as a new graduate) • 0-2 years of experience in SNF or similar setting (SNF experience preferred) • Positive COVID-19 test result 72 hours prior to start date, with results issued 48 hours prior to start date • Ability to pass required background checks, including county, federal, multi-state, and sex offender searches • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams
