Job Title: Therapist - Respiratory Therapist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Respiratory Therapist to join our team. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will provide high-level care to pediatric patients in various critical care settings, including the NICU, PICU, and CVICU. This is an 8-week contract opportunity with the possibility of extension.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide high-level respiratory care to pediatric patients in the NICU, PICU, and CVICU, including level 4 NICU care • Administer oxygen therapy, ventilator management, and other respiratory interventions as needed • Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans • Participate in code blue responses and other high-acuity situations • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records • Adhere to hospital and regulatory policies and procedures • Travel to various locations, including Shaker Children's Rehab, Fairview NICU, Akron NICU, and Hillcrest NICU
Requirements:
• Current Ohio Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license • Minimum 2 years of experience in pediatric respiratory care • NBRC certification in BLS, Advanced NRP, and PALS required • Experience in pediatric intensive care units (PICU), neonatal intensive care units (NICU), and pediatric critical care units (CCU) • Ability to work 3x12s or 4x12 shifts
Travel Requirements:
• Must be able to travel to various locations, including pediatric hospitals and rehabilitation centers • Ability to complete two fingerprinting sessions: one onsite for facility requirements and one through the agency
