We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our IMC/PCU/Stepdown team at Summit Medical Center. Our state-of-the-art Observation Unit is equipped with the latest technology and staffed by a team of experienced professionals. Job Summary:

As a Registered Nurse - IMC/PCU/Stepdown, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to critically ill and unstable patients. You will work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. This is a 13-week travel opportunity, offering the chance to gain new experiences and skills in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the IMC/PCU/Stepdown unit • Conduct triage of acute care patients and identify life-threatening rhythms • Perform various procedures, including glucose monitoring, Foley insertion, dressing changes, EKGs, and peritoneal dialysis • Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination • Document patient information accurately and thoroughly in the Meditech system

Requirements:

• Current RN licensure in the state of Tennessee • 2+ years of experience in IMC/PCU/Stepdown nursing • Advanced skills in procedures such as EKGs, glucose monitoring, and Foley insertion • ACLS, NIH, and EKG rhythm certification required • Ability to work a rotating schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
