We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our interdisciplinary team at Elm Wood Center. As a Therapist - Speech Language Pathologist, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and residents, providing exceptional speech and language therapy services in a supportive and stimulating environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for patients and residents with communication and swallowing disorders • Provide evidence-based speech and language therapy interventions, including articulation, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing therapy • Collaborate with our interdisciplinary team, including occupational therapists, physical therapists, and nurses, to ensure comprehensive care • Develop and implement strategies to promote communication and swallowing skills, enhancing the quality of life for our patients and residents • Maintain accurate and timely records of patient progress, including treatment plans, assessments, and progress notes • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and industry advancements

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program • Current certification as a Speech Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) • 1-2 years of experience in speech language pathology, preferably in a long-term care or rehabilitation setting • Strong assessment and treatment skills, with the ability to work with patients and residents with diverse needs and abilities • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams • Ability to maintain accurate and timely records, and to participate in ongoing education and professional development
