We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery team. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to expectant mothers and newborns, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for them to grow and thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct patient care, including labor support, fetal monitoring, and breastfeeding assistance • Conduct sterile speculum exams, effacement, dilation, station, and presentation assessments • Utilize Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) and External and Internal Fetal Monitoring to track fetal well-being • Recognize and respond to abnormal fetal heart rate patterns • Collaborate with obstetricians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care • Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and postpartum care, as well as breastfeeding techniques • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using EPIC system
Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery • Current certifications in BLS, AWHONN, and NRP • Strong knowledge of LDRP and Mother/Baby care • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Unit Details:
• Labor and Delivery Unit with Couplet Care Ratios 1:4 • EPIC system for medication, documentation, and communication • Pyxis system for medication management • SBAR protocol for effective communication
Work Schedule:
• Nights: 1845-0715 • 13-week shift • Mandatory call shifts every 6 weeks (2 shifts per schedule) • Weekend requirement: every other weekend • Float requirement: yes, will float to assist other units
