Tech - CVOR Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Surgical Technologist to join our team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. As a Tech - CVOR, you will play a critical role in supporting our cardiac and general surgery teams, ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of operating rooms, including setup and sterilization of equipment and supplies • Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient information, surgical procedures, and inventory management • Participate in patient care, including positioning, draping, and maintaining asepsis • Support the surgical team during procedures, including maintaining surgical site integrity and ensuring patient safety • Maintain a clean and organized operating room environment, adhering to infection control and safety protocols • Assist in the transportation of patients and equipment as needed • Participate in continuing education and training to stay up-to-date on latest techniques and best practices
Requirements:
• 18 months of experience in a surgical technologist role, with 2 years preferred • Strong experience in cardiovascular and general surgery, with a focus on cardiac OR procedures • Current certification in NBSTSA and/or NCCT, with preference for both • Current BLS certification, with a valid license • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts • Willingness to float within scope to meet facility needs • Ability to accommodate block schedules as needed • Ability to travel to sister facilities as required

Additional Requirements:
• Must have experience in cardiac OR and be able to see our setup and start call • Must be aware of time-sensitive modules that require prioritization • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
Shift Options:
• Manager will discuss shift options during phone interview • Shifts may include weekdays, weekends, and on-call shifts • Guaranteed hours: 36 hours for 3x12's, 40 hours for 8/10's
Local Radius Rule:
• Locals accepted within a certain radius, with same rate pending license acceptance
RTO Requirements:
• All RTO must be included at time of submission
