Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at the Comprehensive Cancer Center. As a Medical Surgical/Tele Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care to a diverse population, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced, dynamic environment • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care based on individual needs and goals • Develop and maintain relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams to foster open communication and collaboration • Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and contribute to the development of comprehensive care plans • Utilize evidence-based practices and clinical expertise to optimize patient outcomes and minimize complications • Demonstrate expertise in specialized areas, including oncology and medical surgical units • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless transitions of care and effective handoffs • Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical guidelines, research, and best practices in oncology and medical surgical nursing

Requirements:

• Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Medical Surgical/Tele Registered Nurse • Current certification in ACLS and BLS • Epic experience required • Oncology experience preferred but not required • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills

Work Environment:

• Comprehensive Cancer Center with 318 acute care beds • All inpatient units with 36 beds, specializing in cancer diagnosis and treatment • Floating to MedSurg units, including BMT, Acute Leukemia, Hematology, Medical Oncology, Gynecological Oncology, Urology, Colorectal, Surgical Oncology, and Corrections Healthcare • Heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and patient falls
