Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Float Pool. As a Float Pool ICU RN, you will have the opportunity to float to various critical care floors, including Medical Transient Care (MTC) and Step-Down units, as well as the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) for patients requiring holds. Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced environment • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team • Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as ordered by physicians • Monitor and report patient status to physicians and other healthcare professionals • Participate in code situations and other emergency response scenarios • Document patient information accurately and thoroughly in the electronic medical record (EMR) • Collaborate with other departments, such as Radiology and Laboratory, to ensure seamless patient care • Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and self-care techniques • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to optimize patient outcomes

Requirements:

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Georgia • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar-sized facility, preferably in an ICU setting • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications • Proficiency in EPIC EMR system • Strong communication and teamwork skills • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
