Our team is passionate about delivering exceptional care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As a Registered Nurse - Cardiac Stepdown, you will play a critical role in our team's success.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Stepdown team. As a Registered Nurse on this unit, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of patients with cardiac conditions. You will work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure that patients receive the highest level of care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, and develop individualized care plans to promote optimal health outcomes • Administer medications, including cardiac critical drips such as Amiodarone, Esmolol, Insulin, Lasix, Cardizem, and Nitroglycerin • Monitor patients' vital signs and cardiac rhythms, and report any abnormalities to the physician • Collaborate with the physician and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans • Educate patients and families on self-care techniques, medication management, and disease prevention • Participate in multidisciplinary rounds to coordinate care and ensure seamless transitions • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including documentation of patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes

Requirements:

• 1+ year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a medical-surgical or cardiac stepdown setting • Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certification • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions • Strong communication and collaboration skills • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple patients simultaneously • Basic life support skills, including cardiac arrest management
