Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse - Infection Control to join our team. As an Infection Preventionist, you will play a critical role in preventing and controlling the spread of infections in our acute care facilities. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to identify and mitigate infection risks, develop and implement infection control policies, and educate patients, families, and staff on infection prevention practices.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct infection control assessments and develop and implement evidence-based infection control plans • Collaborate with healthcare teams to identify and address infection risks and vulnerabilities • Develop and implement infection control policies, procedures, and protocols • Educate patients, families, and staff on infection prevention practices and promote a culture of infection prevention • Conduct surveillance and monitoring of infection rates and trends • Develop and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals and organizations to stay current on best practices in infection control • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to optimize infection control practices
Requirements:
• Current RN licensure in the state of Oregon • Certification in Infection Control (CIC) required • 2+ years of experience in acute care or infection control • Strong communication and collaboration skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Flexibility to float between units and facilities as needed
