Registered Nurse Rehabilitation
Job Title: Registered Nurse - Rehabilitation
Location: Salem, VA 24153 (Main 4E, Inpatient Rehab Building, 1900 Electric Rd)
Unit Information:
- Number of Beds: 35
- Patient Ratios: 5-7:1
- Unit Staffing: Techs per census, usually 2-4
- Equipment: Vitals machine, Baxter IV pumps, SCD’s, Bladder scanner
- Documentation System: Meditech
Scheduling Requirements:
- 12 hour shifts
- Every other weekend
- Floating policy: may be floated to other Med Surg depts.
Patient Experience Requirements:
- Rehab experience preferred
- Must have: Med/Surg or PCU experience
- BLS and VA License Preferred: Rehab experience
- Advanced skills needed: none
Responsibilities:
- Med administration to include IV’s, PICC, PEG tube admin; Bladder scans, Trach care, Tube feeding, Foley cath, Bladder irrigation, Blood Administration
- Provide high-quality patient care in a rehabilitation setting
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team, including Nursing, Physical therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech therapy, Physiatrist and Physician Assistant, and Neuropsychologist
