Job Title: Registered Nurse - Long Term Care/Senior Living Facilities (LTC/SNF)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in Long Term Care/Senior Living Facilities (LTC/SNF). As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will partner with our residents and other care providers to create a safe and comfortable therapeutic environment, providing direct and indirect care to meet the unique needs of our residents.

Key Aspects of the Role:

• Work in a 31-bed specialized unit focused on Alzheimer's/dementia residents, utilizing verbal and non-verbal communication techniques to tailor care to their needs. • Provide long-term placement in a home-like environment for residents requiring ongoing care. • Collaborate with other care providers to create a comprehensive care plan for residents. • Work on the Transitional Rehabilitation Unit, providing short-term, skilled nursing and rehab services to patients recovering from various illnesses or injuries. • Provide nursing services, including IV therapy, wound care, and geriatric assessment and management.

Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate patient care to ensure optimal health outcomes. • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of resident needs and preferences. • Utilize medical terminology to document patient information accurately. • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination. • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance resident care and outcomes.

Requirements:

• Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) or equivalent • Valid State of Maine or compact RN license • 1-3 years of previous RN experience • Strong medical terminology skills • Excellent teamwork and communication skills • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays • Flexibility to float to other units as needed
