Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team at Lineville Nursing Facility for a 6-week temporary assignment. As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our physical therapy team in providing high-quality care to our residents. Responsibilities:

• Assist physical therapists in developing, implementing, and evaluating treatment plans for residents
• Conduct patient assessments, including range of motion, strength, and functional abilities
• Assist with exercises, modalities, and other interventions to promote resident mobility and independence
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date resident records and documentation
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including nursing, occupational therapy, and speech therapy
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant Studies or related field
• Current certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) in the state of employment
• 1+ year of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a long-term care facility
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Basic life support (BLS) certification
