Job Title: Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery to join our team. As a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to women and newborns in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities:
• Assess patients in triage, labor, and postpartum settings, utilizing obstetric triage acuity tools and evaluating fetal well-being • Conduct labor assessments, evaluations, and care, including preparation for safe delivery and administration of medications • Provide newborn care, including hearing screens, laboratory draws, IV starts and care, medication administration, and stabilization of critically ill newborns • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care • Utilize fetal monitoring equipment and intermediate or advanced fetal monitoring certifications • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and outcomes
Requirements:
• 2+ years of current experience in labor and delivery nursing • Current State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification • Intermediate or advanced fetal monitoring certifications • Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) preferred
