Job Title: Registered Nurse - Mother Baby/Postpartum

Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Mother Baby/Postpartum department. As a Contract RN, you will provide high-quality patient care to expectant mothers and newborns, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for new families.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care to women in labor, postpartum, and during the postpartum period • Conduct physical assessments, develop individualized care plans, and implement interventions as needed • Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care • Educate patients and families on postpartum care, newborn care, and breastfeeding techniques • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to optimize patient outcomes

Qualifications:

• Current RN licensure in the state of employment • 1 year of experience in postpartum or maternal-child nursing • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment • Basic life support certification (BLS)

Work Environment:

• 13-week contract position • 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM shift • Worksite: 919 E 32nd Street, Austin, TX 78705
