Join Our Team as a Physical Therapist at Trident Medical Center

Location: 9330 Medical Plaza Dr, Charleston, SC 29406 (6th Floor Inpatient Rehab Unit)

Unit Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Physical Therapist to join our team on the Inpatient Rehab Unit at Trident Medical Center. As a Physical Therapist, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population, utilizing the latest equipment and technologies to provide high-quality care. Our unit is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including an ADL suite, car simulator, Biodex, Bitts, Lite Gait, SCI FIT, and Nustep, ensuring our patients receive the best possible care.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to promote patient mobility, strength, and functional ability
• Conduct assessments, evaluations, and progress monitoring to ensure patient goals are met
• Provide evidence-based interventions, including manual therapy, exercises, and modalities, to address patient needs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including occupational therapists, speech therapists, and nurses, to ensure comprehensive care
• Document patient progress and outcomes in Meditech, adhering to unit and hospital policies
• Participate in unit meetings and continuing education opportunities to stay current on best practices and industry developments

Requirements:

• Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of South Carolina (SC)
• Advanced skills in rehabilitation, including experience with a variety of diagnoses and populations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and unit needs
