Job Summary:

As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in the delivery of high-quality patient care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. You will be responsible for assisting with patient assessments, developing and implementing treatment plans, and providing hands-on therapy interventions to help patients achieve optimal outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist Physical Therapists with patient assessments, including gathering medical history, conducting range of motion evaluations, and performing strength and function assessments • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including exercises, modalities, and activities to promote patient recovery and well-being • Provide hands-on therapy interventions, such as manual therapy, exercise instruction, and modalities, to patients under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including progress notes and treatment plans • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to coordinate patient care • Educate patients and families on exercise programs, home safety modifications, and other strategies to promote independence and optimal outcomes

Required Qualifications:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant Studies or related field • Certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant (CPTA) or eligibility for certification • Current licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the state of MA • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities • Basic life support certification (BLS)
