Registered Nurse - ICU
Registered Nurse (RN) – Inpatient Rehabilitation
Location: Peoria, Illinois
Education & Licensure Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED required

Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Illinois

Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS required prior to start
Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

1+ year of RN experience in a ICU care setting (new grads considered case by case)

Basic proficiency with EMR systems and Microsoft applications
Summary:
The Registered Nurse provides high-quality patient care to critically ill and rehabilitation patients through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. The RN acts as a patient advocate, supervises nursing care delivered by the healthcare team, and collaborates with patients, families, and interdisciplinary staff to ensure positive clinical outcomes and comprehensive discharge planning.
Key Responsibilities:

Maintain standards of nursing care and adhere to hospital policies and procedures

Perform admission assessments, develop individualized care plans, and update as needed

Document all assessments, care plans, and patient interventions in the EMR

Administer medications safely and in accordance with ICU policies and procedures

Respond appropriately to changes in patient condition and initiate emergency protocols when needed

Supervise, direct, and evaluate nursing care provided by other caregivers

Provide patient/family education and participate in discharge planning

Assist with special procedures (e.g., thoracentesis, arterial line placement, bronchoscopy)

Ensure safe and effective use of biomedical equipment (defibrillator, IV pumps, PCA pumps, etc.)

Participate in orientation and evaluation of nursing staff

Maintain compliance with health, safety, confidentiality, and ethical business practices

Knowledge of medications, side effects, and safe administration practices

Compensation & Schedule:
-
Hourly Rate: $36.23–$53.02 (based on experience)
-
Shift Differentials: $4.00/hr (3rd shift), $3.25/hr (weekend)

Sign-On Bonus: $15,000 (new grads); $20,000 (1+ years of experience)

Relocation: Not offered
-
Openings: Two 3rd shift full-time, one 1st shift full-time, one PRN (24 hours/week)
