**Respiratory Therapist - Travel Opportunity** **Location:** Alexandria, LA 71301 **Schedule:** Day Shift, 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM **Job Type:** Travel **Specialty:** Respiratory Therapy **About the Unit:** * 362-bed medical center * Staffed by a team of experienced professionals, including day shift and night shift coordinators, PFTs, NICU RTs, CHGs, and respiratory therapists * Patient ratios are carefully managed to ensure high-quality care * State-of-the-art equipment, including Servo I Ventilator, V60 Bipap, Airvo, Hillrom vest, and EMR systems **Responsibilities:** * Collect and analyze data to inform patient care decisions * Provide high-quality respiratory therapy services to patients * Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans * Perform various procedures, including: + Neb treatments + Bipap and vent management + Weaning parameters and IS + CPT and other respiratory therapies * Utilize critical thinking skills to prioritize patient needs and manage multiple tasks **Requirements:** * Current CRT or RRT certification * ACLS, PALS, and BLS certification * 1+ year of experience in respiratory therapy * Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills * Positive attitude and excellent communication skills **Preferred Qualifications:** * ICU and pedi experience * NICU and PICU experience **What We Offer:** * Competitive pay rate * Opportunities for professional growth and development * Collaborative and supportive work environment **Benefits:** * Comprehensive benefits package * Paid time off and holidays * Professional development opportunities **Travel Details:** * 13-week assignment * Every other weekend, no call * Start date: July 21, 2025 * Worksite: RAPIDES REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER, 211 Fourth Street, Alexandria, LA 71301
