Registered Nurse OB/GYN

Here is the formatted job description: **Registered Nurse - OB/GYN** **Location:** Galesburg, IL **Job Type:** Full-time, Nights * Provide high-quality patient care to women's health patients in a fast-paced OB/GYN setting * Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes * Utilize knowledge of sterile technique and experience with labor, delivery, postpartum, and nursery care * Assist with C-sections and other surgical procedures as needed * Provide breastfeeding education and support to patients * Utilize electronic medical records and other clinical systems to document patient information and coordinate care * Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction **Required Skills and Experience:** * 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an OB/GYN setting * Knowledge of sterile technique and experience with labor, delivery, postpartum, and nursery care * Certification in areas such as ARRT, CRT, BLS, and ACLS * Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment **Certifications and Licensures:** * RN licensure in the state of Illinois * Additional certifications in areas such as breastfeeding or maternal-child health **Work Schedule:** * 36 hours per week, with weekend hours and some call required * Will work as part of a team to ensure adequate staffing and patient care **Unit Information:** * 4 labor rooms and 5 postpartum rooms * Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3-4 in postpartum and 1:1 in labor * State-of-the-art equipment and technology, including Epic, Stork, and Pyxis systems **Dress Code:** * Facility-provided OR scrubs **Training and Orientation:** * Comprehensive training program for new hires, including orientation to the unit, equipment, and policies * Opportunities for professional development and continuing education
