Registered Nurse OB/GYN

**Registered Nurse - OB/GYN** **Location:** Peoria, IL **Schedule:** Days, 5 eight hour shifts/week, beginning at 0730 or 0800, with weekend and holiday rotations **Job Type:** Full-time **Required Skills and Experience:** * Advanced understanding and interpretation of obstetric patients and associated diagnoses * EFM (external fetal monitoring) training * Minimum of 2 years obstetric experience **Required Skills and Certifications:** * IL Nursing license * BLS * EFM (external fetal monitoring) training **Key Responsibilities:** * Obtain extensive obstetrical, medical, surgical, and family history of patients * Complete focused obstetrical assessment * Communicate and collaborate with sonographers and providers * Perform blood draws and injections * Provide education and resources * Utilize equipment such as 7 ultrasound machines, 4 fetal monitors, and computerized charting (Epic) **Unit Overview:** * 8 exam rooms with standard ultrasound tables * Nurse to patient ratio varies depending on role assigned to RN, with an average of 40 patients per day * Floats to other units and departments as needed **Training and Orientation:** * 2-3 weeks comprehensive orientation program to familiarize new hires with the unit and department
