Registered Nurse ICU

**Registered Nurse - ICU** **Location:** Asheville, NC **Shift:** Nights **Job Type:** Travel, Full-time **Unit Profile:** Our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is a 16-bed unit that provides high-level care to critically ill patients. We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our team. **Key Responsibilities:** • Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to critically ill patients • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans • Utilize advanced skills in titration of vesicant meds, familiarity with pressors, sedation, paralytics, experience with vents, trachs, telemetry interpretation, understanding of hemodynamics, and PA catheter set up and interpretation • Perform procedures such as cardioversion, central line insertion, EGD, bronchoscopy, chest tube insertions, pericardiocentesis, and thoracentesis • Adhere to unit guidelines and policies, including dress code and uniform requirements **Requirements:** • Current RN licensure in the state of NC • Current CCRN certification (recommended) • Experience with vents, trachs, telemetry interpretation, and understanding of hemodynamics • Familiarity with pressors, sedation, paralytics, and titration of vesicant meds • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with frequent changes in patient acuity • Strong communication and collaboration skills **Work Schedule:** • 36 hours/week, alternating weekends • 12-hour shifts, with flexibility to float to other areas as needed **About the Unit:** • Our ICU is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including ventilators, telemetry monitors, and Baxter IV pumps • We have a strong focus on patient safety and quality care • Our team is committed to providing exceptional care to our patients and their families **What We Offer:** • Competitive pay rate • Opportunities for professional growth and development • A supportive and collaborative work environment If you are a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse looking for a new challenge, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
