**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our IMC/PCU/Stepdown team. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care to patients undergoing minimally invasive video assisted thoracoscopic (VAT) surgeries, esophagectomy, hernia repair, and lung transplantation. You will also care for patients requiring heart monitoring for ENT, abdominal, and orthopedic surgeries.
**Responsibilities:**
* Provide direct patient care to high-acuity patients in a fast-paced environment
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including surgeons, physicians, and other healthcare professionals
* Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet patient needs
* Monitor and report patient status to healthcare team
* Educate patients and families on health education and discharge instructions
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
**Requirements:**
* Graduate of an accredited nursing program
* Current RN licensure in the state of Texas
* BLS certification required within 30 days of hire
* Experience in IMC/PCU/Stepdown nursing preferred
