Registered Nurse ICU

**Registered Nurse - ICU** **Location:** San Antonio, TX **Shift:** Days We are seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in the Cardiac Vascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU). This is a 13-week contract opportunity for a travel Registered Nurse with 2 years or more of ICU experience. **Key Responsibilities:** * Provide high-quality patient care to critically ill patients * Support CV cases and utilize CVICU devices, including CVICU devices and ventilators * Monitor and manage hemodynamic stability, including art lines and Swan-Ganz catheters * Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians * Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement care plans * Utilize strong critical thinking skills to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively * Demonstrate expertise in ACLS and BLS **Requirements:** * Current (RN) ACTIVE TX RN License * 2 years or more of ICU experience * Hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management experience * ACLS and BLS certification * Strong critical thinking skills * Ability to float and adapt to changing patient needs **Preferred Skills:** * IABP and CRRT exposure * Meditech charting and order entry experience * Experience with post-CABG, post-VAD, and post-cardiac support device management **Work Details:** * Assignment Length: 13 weeks * Shift/Workdays: 7A-7:30P / 7P-7:30A * Weekend: Rotating * Guaranteed Hours: 36 **Unit Guidelines:** * Floating is required * Adhere to Methodist Hospital's attendance policies and procedures * Maintain a neat and clean appearance, adhering to the unit's dress code policy * Hair should be neat and clean, with no extreme styles or colors * Tattoos and piercings should be covered whenever possible If you are a motivated and experienced Registered Nurse looking for a new challenge, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
