**Registered Nurse - Telemetry** **Location:** Plattsburgh, NY 12901 **Schedule:** Nights **Job Type:** Travel, Resource Pool, Float We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Telemetry Nurse. As a Telemetry Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to patients on the Medical/Surgical unit, including those in the Emergency Department (ED HOLD) and other areas of the hospital. **Key Responsibilities:** • Provide direct patient care to patients on the Medical/Surgical unit, including those in the ED HOLD and other areas of the hospital • Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians • Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the healthcare team • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans • Participate in code blue and other emergency situations as needed • Perform various administrative tasks, including documenting patient information and communicating with patients and families **Requirements:** • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse • Current AHA BLS certification • CMSRN certification preferred • NIHSS required prior to starting • Epic experience from within the past 2 years is required and nonnegotiable • IVS to offer **What We Offer:** • Competitive compensation package • Opportunities for professional growth and development • Collaborative and supportive work environment **Facility Information:** • CVPH Champlain Valley Physician Hospital (part of Univ of Vermont) • 341 total facility beds • 24 R5, 24 R6, 25 R7 beds/suites/deliveries • No teaching hospital experience required • No prior travel experience required • Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience required • BLS certification required • CMSRN certification preferred • Nurse-to-patient ratio: R5: 1:4, R6: 1:4, R7: 1:5 • Ancillary assistance: CNA/PCT available • Unit clerk/secretary available • Advanced practice professionals not available on unit **Work Environment:** • Nights shift • Every other weekend required • Travel required for ED HOLD patients • Work 2 out of the 3 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas/Christmas Eve, and New Years Day/Eve • Reliable transportation recommended • Vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires during the months of November-April
