**Registered Nurse - Operating Room** **Location:** Socorro, NM **Schedule:** Days **Job Type:** Full-time **About the Role:** We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in the Operating Room. As a Registered Nurse - Operating Room, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care to an assigned group of patients during a shift, utilizing the nursing process to ensure safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable care. **Key Responsibilities:** • Provide direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting individual patient needs, actions taken, and patient responses • Coordinate patient care through collaboration with the patient/family and healthcare team • Administer medication and treatments as prescribed by physician or standard protocols and document according to policy • Identify and meet patient and family learning and discharge needs on admission and throughout the episode of care • Assume responsibility for the clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel • Complete patient population/age-specific/procedure and protocol education and competency testing per unit standards **Requirements:** • Minimum two (2) years current experience required in large OR • Must be able to scrub • Must be a team player, flexible, and accustomed to fast-paced environment • Must have successfully completed at least one 13-week travel assignment **Preferred Qualifications:** • Epic experience preferred, but not required; can train on-site • Ortho, EENT, and/or vascular experience a plus **Education:** • One of the following is required: - Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) - Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) **Certifications & Licensure:** • State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License • Basic Life Support (BLS) required • BLS, (ACLS, and PALS if obtained) must be completed through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross
