Tech First Assist

**Job Title: Tech - First Assist** **Location:** Richmond, VA 23294 **Schedule:** Monday - Friday, 6:45 AM - 5:15 PM **Job Type:** Travel **Unit Information:** * Specialty: Orthopedics, Spine, and General (Bariatric) * Number of Beds: 11 ORs * Number of Staff: Approximately 8 FTEs (when full staffed) * Type of Staff: Certified Surgical Assistants (Day Shift) and Covered with Call (Night Shift) **Responsibilities:** * Assist surgeons and other medical professionals during surgical procedures * Prepare operating room equipment and supplies * Maintain a safe and organized operating room environment * Follow unit policies and guidelines **Requirements:** * License to practice as a Surgical Assistant in the state of Virginia * Excellent communication and teamwork skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively * Basic life support certification (not required but preferred) **Preferred Qualifications:** * Experience in orthopedics, spine, or general surgery * Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMRs) * Certification in surgical assisting (CSTA) or surgical technology (CST) **What We Offer:** * Competitive pay rate * Opportunities for professional growth and development * Collaborative and supportive work environment **If you are a motivated and detail-oriented individual with a passion for surgical assisting, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity!**
