Job Title: Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Job Type: Travel, Unit-Based
Required Qualifications:
• Current RN license
• Minimum 2 years of experience
• Level 1 Trauma experience preferred
• BCLS certification
• Fit-tested for N95 mask or trained on PAPR device for negative-airflow rooms
• COVID-19 vaccine required (effective 9/1/24)
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide medical-surgical care to patients in a unit setting
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the nurse manager or physician
• Participate in unit-based initiatives to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction
Note: Please note that IN RNs are no longer allowed to work at IU Health facilities, effective 11/30/24, except for Periop/OR RNs, Allied, and Ambulatory RN travelers.
