**Occupational Therapist - Therapist** **Location:** Cordova, AK **Schedule:** Days **Job Type:** Full-time **About the Role:** We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping our residents achieve their maximum performance and level of functioning while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities. **Key Responsibilities:** • Evaluate, plan, direct, and administer occupational therapy modalities of treatment as prescribed by a licensed physician • Develop, implement, supervise, and evaluate the Long Term Care (LTC) activities program • Complete and/or direct the completion of the activities component of the comprehensive assessment • Contribute to and/or direct plans to nursing to provide individualized restorative care • Administer treatments and occupational agents as prescribed by a referring physician • Assist patients and residents to reach their maximum performance and level of functioning • Complete daily and weekly progress and summary reports • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding knowledge of all patient information (HIPAA) • Establish and maintain healthy interpersonal relationships with all staff members **Requirements:** • Valid Alaska state license to practice as an Occupational Therapist • Graduate of an accredited program with a BS, MA/MS in Occupational Therapy • Minimum 2 years of direct patient care experience in a variety of settings with a strong background in long term care of geriatric patients • Knowledge/experience with LTC RAI/MDS an asset • Professional, friendly, and warm demeanor • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team • Basic computing skills, including email, word processing, and spreadsheets • Current BLS certification **What We Offer:** • Housing provided • Opportunities for professional growth and development • Collaborative and supportive work environment If you are a motivated and compassionate Occupational Therapist looking to make a difference in the lives of others, we encourage you to apply.
