**Registered Nurse - Oncology** **Location:** Columbus, OH **Schedule:** Days, with flexibility to work variable shifts, including weekends **Job Type:** Rotating, 13-week contract with potential for extension **End Date:** January 17th, with preference for end dates of January 3rd, 10th, or 17th to assist with holiday coverage **About the Role:** We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse - Oncology to join our team. This 13-week contract position will allow you to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing high-quality care to patients with various types of cancer. **Responsibilities:** * Provide patient care and education to patients with acute and chronic illnesses, including those undergoing chemotherapy and other treatments * Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans * Conduct patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and report changes to healthcare providers * Administer medications, including chemotherapy, and manage side effects * Perform routine procedures, such as blood draws, central line insertions, and wound care * Utilize telemetry monitoring and rapid response teams to ensure patient safety * Manage feeding tubes, peripheral lines, and PICC lines * Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their families **Requirements:** * 1 year of experience in Medical-Surgical (MS) and Oncology units * Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy Certification * Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred * Ability to work variable shifts, including days, nights, and weekends * Flexibility to take time off, with a maximum of 1-2 days off per month **Specialized Skills:** * Telemetry monitoring * Interpretation of dysrhythmias * Use of Rapid Response Teams * Feeding tube care and management * Blood product administration * Central line blood draw * Peripheral line care/management * PICC line management * Nasal cannula administration **What We Offer:** * Competitive compensation package * Opportunities for professional growth and development * Collaborative and supportive work environment * Flexible scheduling to accommodate your needs If you are a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity, please apply today!
