Registered Nurse - IMC/PCU/Stepdown Location: Springfield, IL Schedule: Nights (3x12 shifts, 1845-0715, with possibility of 4x12 shifts) Job Type: Full-time We are seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in a Intensive Care Unit (IMC), Progressive Care Unit (PCU), and Stepdown setting. Responsibilities: • Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, utilizing critical thinking and problem-solving skills • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams • Manage complex medical conditions, including cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, neurological, orthopedic, and respiratory cases • Administer medications, including titrated drips and PCA, as well as provide procedural sedation and airway management • Utilize cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills, including interpretation of dysrhythmias and management of cardiac events • Perform various medical procedures, such as IV therapy, phlebotomy, and central line care • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of evidence-based practice guidelines • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless transitions of care and optimal patient outcomes Requirements: • Minimum 1 year of experience in a critical care setting, preferably in IMC, PCU, and Stepdown • Active Illinois licensure required • Current BLS and NIH certification required; ACLS preferred • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills What We Offer: • Competitive compensation package • Opportunities for professional growth and development • Collaborative and supportive work environment • Flexible scheduling, including the possibility of block schedules • Comprehensive benefits package If you are a motivated and compassionate Registered Nurse looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity, please apply today.
