Registered Nurse ICU

Job Title: Registered Nurse - ICU

Location: Fort Wayne, IN

Schedule: Nights

Key Responsibilities:

• Caring for ventilated patients • Initiating and titrating IV drips (vasopressors, sedation, and paralytics) • Assisting with intubations and line placements • Monitoring critically ill patients with primary diagnoses of sepsis, respiratory failure, renal failure, myocardial infarctions, pulmonary embolism, and pneumonia

Required Qualifications:

• Strong background in medical patients and critical care • Ability to be flexible, critically think, and reason • Team-oriented and personable • Minimum 1.5 years of ICU experience required • 2 years ICU experience preferred • BLS (AHA only) • ACLS (AHA only) • RN license

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Experience in a mixed acuity unit with ICU and progressive patients • Ability to float to other ICUs, progressive units, and Medsurg departments • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
