Therapist Physical Therapy Assistant

Job Title: Therapist - Physical Therapy Assistant Location: Alturas, CA Schedule / Job Type: Full-time Key Responsibilities:

• Provide physical therapy to patients under the direction of the Director of Physical Therapy or other licensed Physical Therapist. • Conduct evaluations, follow-up appointments, and maintain accurate patient records. • Perform physical therapy procedures and modalities, and assess the effects of these procedures. • Collaborate with other departments and staff members to ensure effective patient care.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an APTA approved Physical Therapist Assistant Program. • Licensed by the State of California to provide PTA services. • Proficiency in performing physical therapy procedures and modalities. • Ability to work with others, at all levels within the organization, and collaborate effectively. • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving strategies, as well as effective written and oral communication skills.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Experience in acute care, skilled nursing, and out-patient physical therapy. • Ability to work with patients with various medical conditions and needs. • Familiarity with physical therapy modalities, such as spinal traction, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, diathermy, and infra-red light.
