Registered Nurse PACU

Job Title: Registered Nurse - PACU

Location: St. Louis, MO

Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, Days

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced, rotating shift environment • Collaborate with the healthcare team to recover and care for a wide range of post-operative patients, including adults, adolescents, and geriatric patients • Utilize critical care skills to manage patients with complex needs, including those requiring artificial airways, invasive monitoring, and vasoactive medications • Administer medications, including blood products, and perform various medical procedures, such as starting IVs and administering IV vasopressors • Participate in the care of ventilated patients and provide education to patients and families on post-operative care and recovery

Required Qualifications:

• 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a hospital setting • Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Missouri • BLS and ACLS certification • Experience in critical care, inpatient, and Level I Trauma Center settings • Ability to recognize and manage dysrhythmias and administer blood products • Ability to start IVs and administer IV vasopressors

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Experience in Phase I PACU and surgical recovery • Familiarity with electronic medical records, such as EPIC • Ability to work in a fast-paced, rotating shift environment • Experience with phlebotomy and blood product administration
