Registered Nurse IMC/PCU/Stepdown
Job Title: Registered Nurse - IMC/PCU/Stepdown Location Bloomington, IL Schedule / Job Type Nights
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide high-quality patient care for individuals with a wide range of medical conditions, including respiratory, neuro/surgical/cardiac, and critical care patients. • Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) and computerized charting systems, such as EPIC, to document patient information and track progress. • Administer medications and supplies, including PICC lines, central lines, and other medical equipment, as needed. • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans. • Demonstrate expertise in reading telemetries and performing procedures such as chest tube insertion.
Required Qualifications:
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Illinois • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification • Neurological History and Physical Examination (NIHSS) certification • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) and computerized charting systems
Preferred Experience / Skills:
• Experience working in Intensive Care Units (ICUs), Progressive Care Units (PCUs), or Stepdown units • Familiarity with medication systems, such as Pyxis • Experience with dialysis and other specialized medical procedures
