Key Responsibilities: • Provide holistic medical social services to patients and their families to assist in solving or ameliorating physical, social, emotional, and/or environmental problems. • Utilize a comprehensive approach to address the unique needs of patients across all ages. • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans. • Offer support and resources to patients and families to promote optimal health outcomes.
Required Qualifications: • Master of Social Work (MSW) from an accredited school of Social Work • Alaska State license at Master’s level (LMSW) required or eligibility • Valid Alaska State driver’s license • Basic knowledge of computer use
Preferred Experience / Skills: • Experience working in cross-cultural settings with bilingual language skills in English & Yup'ik • Ability to read, comprehend & write at the college level and effectively present information in one-on-one & group situations
