Registered Nurse ICU
Job Title: Registered Nurse - ICU Location: Emporia, KS Schedule / Job Type: Nights, Full-time
Key Responsibilities: • Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced ICU environment • Conduct thorough assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes • Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by physicians and in accordance with hospital policies and protocols • Monitor and manage complex medical conditions, including ventilator management and cardiac rhythms • Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatment options, and self-care techniques
Required Qualifications: • 1.5+ years of experience in a specialty ICU setting • Current licensure in the state of Kansas (compact license preferred) • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
Preferred Experience / Skills: • Experience with electronic medical records (EMRs) and other healthcare information systems • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple patients, and maintain a high level of productivity in a fast-paced environment
