Job Title: Respiratory Therapist

Location: Sanford, FL

Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, Nights (Rotating Weekends)

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform and document patient assessment, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure. • Conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate the need for, and response to, respiratory therapy. • Administer respiratory care therapies, including oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy. • Assist with placement of artificial airways and initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation. • Monitor patient for therapeutic response and notify provider and intervene as appropriate in the event of an unintended response. • Assist with transportation of ventilator-dependent patients and respond to emergent patient situations.

Required Qualifications:

• NBRC and State Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) • Completion of a two-year AMA-approved respiratory care program (Associates Degree or equivalent) • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor obtained within 30 days of employment start date • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support, or ACLS Instructor obtained within 6 months of employment start date • PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support, or PALS Instructor obtained within 6 months of employment start date • NRP - Neonate Resuscitation Program obtained within 6 months of employment start date

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Flexible on RRT Experience, willing to consider new grads (with NO respiratory experience) who have recently passed their boards or are waiting on their official license.
