Job Title: Registered Nurse - IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Location: Santa Fe, NM

Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, Days

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide direct patient care to an assigned group of patients during a shift. • Ensures safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable care of patients. • Provides direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting individual patient needs, actions taken, and patient responses. • Coordinates patient care through collaboration with the patient/family and healthcare team. • Initiates, utilizes, and documents appropriate protocols and standards of care. • Administers medication and treatments as prescribed by physician or standard protocols and documents according to policy. • Identifies and meets patient and family learning and discharge needs on admission and throughout the episode of care. • Assumes responsibility for the clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel.

Required Qualifications:

• Two (2) years current experience required in an 18-plus bed telemetry/progressive care unit required. • Must be a team player, flexible, and accustomed to fast-paced environment. • Must have successfully completed at least one 13-week travel assignment.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Epic EMR experience preferred.

Required Education:

• One of the following is required: • Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN)

Required Certifications & Licensure:

• State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License. • BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required. • BLS and ACLS must be completed through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross. • Traveler must provide or pass a Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia/Dysrhythmia Assessment (BCA) exam prior to or during first week of assignment. Travelers that do not pass the BCA test will be dismissed.
