Registered Nurse NICU
Job Title: Registered Nurse - NICU Location San Diego, CA Schedule / Job Type Full-time
Key Responsibilities: • Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to critically ill newborns in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans • Monitor and respond to the physical and emotional needs of patients and families • Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed by physicians • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to optimize patient outcomes
Required Qualifications: • Current RN licensure in the state of California • 2 years of recent experience in a Level 4 NICU • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification • Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification • Preferred: experience with oscillator, conventional ventilator, CPAP, and other specialized equipment
Preferred Experience / Skills: • Experience with surgical procedures in a Level 3 NICU • Ability to travel to sister facilities (Rancho Springs, Palomar, Scripps Encinitas, Scripps La Jolla, and Scripps Mercy) • Comfortable with line changes and pre and post op care
